Michigan State University – Breslin Center
Glazier Lansing Glass Co. selected Glass + Metal Craft to develop and deliver a powerful exterior glass canopy for The Michigan State University Breslin Center.
The G+MC Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division provided a complete system of 32 triangular panels of custom tempered, laminated frit glass. G+MC’s Cuda Metals Division fabricated the custom attaching stainless steel hardware. The panels are printed to allow 50% light coverage, creating perfect shade beneath the entrance on bright days. The system was delivered with stamped drawings and kitted to flow installation.

Aloft Hotel Canopy
Glazier Precision Wall Systems chose Glass + Metal Craft as a single source for the range of fabrication requirements needed to deliver this brightly colored glass canopy for the Aloft Hotel in South Bend, Indiana.
The architectural system consists of six tempered, laminated, colored glass panels. Cuda Metals, G+MC’s in-house metals fabricating division, manufactured the custom attaching hardware from drawings provided by G+MC’s Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division.
G+MC delivered the entire system with stamped drawings in kits to ease installation.

Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center
Glazier Lansing Glass Co. selected Glass + Metal Craft to deliver this dramatic 72,000 square foot exterior glass canopy. The canopy covers the entrance of the Sparrow Health Center Lansing (Michigan) facility.Twenty-five panels of tempered, laminated frit glass curve gracefully through an 81-foot by 32-foot arc. G+MC’s Graphic Design Group designed each glass panel such that the dot pattern on the glass stretched seamlessly across the entire canopy.
G+MC Engineering designed the custom stainless steel hardware, manufactured in-house by G+MC’s Cuda Metals Division.
The entire architectural system came kitted for ease of installation, with stamped engineering drawings.

Ballston Quarter Shopping Center
Service Glass Industries Inc. asked Glass + Metal Craft to design a cascading glass canopy for the Ballston Quarter Shopping Center – an extraordinary $330 million redevelopment in Arlington, VA.
G+MC’s Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division created the design from the architect’s concept. Fulcrum provided a full analysis of both designed and actual field conditions – including the use of high-tech digital site scanning. Fulcrum also generated 2D and 3D CAD renderings, and created engineered shop drawings.
G+MC’s Cuda Metals Division fabricated the hardware to specifications as stringent as the glass panels. And our Glass + Mirror Craft Division carefully planned and executed the panel art.
Throughout it all, Glass + Metal Craft project managers made it all happen, managing the design, taking into account the delivery sequence of the components and on-site conditions, and providing on-site support to bring the project to life.

Angie Fowler – Rainbow Babies Canopy
Glass + Metal Craft fabricated and delivered this stunning rainbow glass canopy for The Angie Fowler Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. Designed by Stanley Beaman & Sears Architecture of Atlanta,G+MC engineered the canopy design, along with the custom stainless steel hardware used to attach the glass.
Both the tempered, laminated glass and metal hardware were fabricated on-site at G+MC operations in Wixom, Michigan. G+MC’s Graphic Design team, also in Wixom, was instrumental in matching the panel colors to the architect’s vision.
GM+C packaged the canopy as a kit to simplify installation, and delivered the entire architectural system with stamped drawings.

203 North LaSalle
Glazier Glass Solutions retained Glass + Metal Craft to provide the primary elements of the all glass entrance to the 203 North LaSalle office complex, including the exterior all glass canopy.The 16 tempered and laminated glass panels within the canopy thrust outward from the glass structural wall beneath custom stainless steel supports. The attaching hardware is also custom, designed and delivered by G+MC’s Cuda Metals Division.
G+MC, and delivered in the system in kits with stamped drawings.
As part of this project, G+MC also provided the all glass entrance, all glass guardrails, and glass partitions separating a fitness center to floor traffic.

Blue Water Transit Canopy
Working with glazier Edwards Glass Company, Glass + Metal Craft’ delivered functionality and beauty with this custom bent glass canopy for the Blue Water Transit Company in Port Huron, Michigan.
This unique design required a unique solution and the engineering, glass fabrication, metals fabrication, and graphic design teams at Glass + Metal Craft proved up to the challenge.
As is the case with all G+MC architectural systems, the canopy was delivered with stamped drawings and in kits to flow installation.

Weber’s Inn
Glass + Metal Craft delivered elegance and style to this glass canopy system for one of Michigan’s finest boutique hotels in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The tempered, laminated glass panels are attached with custom stainless steel hardware designed by G+MC engineering and manufactured by the company’s on-site Cuda Metals division.
GM+C delivered the entire architectural system with stamped drawings, assembled as a kit to simplify installation.
