Sometimes you just know when it’s right. And that’s how we feel – underscored, all caps – about Pete Varevice joining Glass+Metal Craft at the beginning of this quarter.
Pete is serving us in a new position for G+MC, as our Architectural Sales Director. It’s a new strategic position that will help us to continue to strengthen our relationship with architects. And, moreover, with our glazier partners. (Despite his title, one of Pete’s primary responsibilities will be working with glazing contractors in the Northeastern U.S. for custom applications.)
Why are we so excited? Because Pete brings a lot to the table.
First, he’s got top-shelf experience. Pete comes to us as a former director with a leading architectural glass fabricator in North America. His depth of knowledge will help us accelerate our plans to bring a portfolio of pre-engineered architectural systems to the industry.
Second, Pete’s from the East Coast, and knows the region very well. He will remain there to bring a strong new presence for us within easy reach of key metropolitan areas. All in all, Pete has served successfully for 20-plus years in sales, project management, and cost estimation for commercial glass and metal systems. He’s a real resource when it comes to vetting a spec. He knows how to get everyone – architect, contractor, and glazier – on the same page. Most importantly, at the onset of a glass and metal fabrication project. Another addition to our customer service in that region.
Third, Pete’s just a great guy. What’s makes him stand out is his ability to truly hear what you have to say. He understands the challenges. Then articulates a solid response. I recently described him as almost being “professorial.” Think back on the teachers that engaged you … that’s Pete.
There’s a lot of road ahead for Pete as he buckles into his journey at Glass+Metal Craft. However, I can assure you this. As you work with him going forward, you too will know we did this right.
