The 1501 North Franklin Building in Chicago features striking laminated, frosted, mirrored glass for wall cladding both inside and out. But the true beauty of the façade is in the design, fabrication, and engineering behind it.
Our custom metal fabrication division, Cuda Metals, and our Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division together teamed to deliver the complex mounting hardware system – complete with stamped drawings – to make the beautiful glass facing possible.
And not without formidable challenges. The different substrates, elevations, and construction materials required a creative array of custom brackets that keep the design seamless, perfectly aligned, and easy to install.
