If your glass fabrication partner is not deeply aware of the Total Cost of Ownership
(TCO) of a project, then you are working with the wrong fabricator.
Glass + Metal Craft has institutionalized a process that mitigates the risk of complex IG projects and architectural systems, delivering them on-time and cost effectively.
Years ago we began by electing to source only U.S. based glass, and fabricate the glass and any custom metal hardware under one roof in Wixom, Michigan, where we could best control costs.
We then invested in a design and engineering team to handle the more complex projects. Soon after, we launched a dedicated logistics team focused on minimizing hand-offs, errors, and delays, further reducing total cost.
Recently we took another step forward on TCO by launching our Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division to review, explain, and jointly modify product specifications so there is complete alignment by all parties at the onset of a project. We then assign a dedicated manager to follow the project through the factory and in the field.
Over the next few years we’ll again reduce TCO by introducing off-the-shelf, pre-engineered architectural systems, like our OSTIUM Glass Vestibules, that save time and cost by allowing the architect to specify a proven, pre-established concept, making installation simpler and faster for the general contractor and glazier.
At Glass + Metal Craft, Total Cost of Ownership is – and always will be – front of mind.
