The vision for the entrance to the sweeping atrium lobby of 200 S Wacker in Downtown Chicago was to blend it seamlessly into the stone and gold accents featured throughout the stunning space. Selected by MTH Industries to meet this vision, Glass+Metal Craft responded with a hybrid of its OSTIUM™ Type II Pre-Engineered Glass Entrance System.
The ceiling of the vestibule features minimal supporting hardware, allowing the eye to flow freely into the surrounding space, with one side of the system customized to abut to a stone column. Our Cuda Metals Division then accented the entrance with matte brass fixtures, including a brass cap supporting the doorway.
The entire system was engineered by our in-house Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division, delivering the vestibule with stamped drawings and kitted to flow installation.
