Glazier: Modern Mirror & Glass
The simple elegance of the glass entrance to the refurbished Federal Reserve Building in Downtown Detroit is an excellent example of a Glass+Metal Craft’s Type 1 OSTIUM Pre-Engineered Vestibule and Entrance System.
When glazier Modern Mirror and Glass selected Glass+Metal Craft to fulfill the architect’s intent for the space, we were able to quickly and cost effectively respond with the OSTIUM product, delivered with all supporting stainless hardware, stainless cladding, and stamped engineering drawings.
G+MC’s Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division ensured the product fit within the requirements of the entrance façade, and our Project Management Team guided fabrication and delivery to optimize the flow of installation.
While providing an open, engaging environment, the vestibule is also engineered to optimize climate control in all seasons.
Another major G+MC deliverable was a point-supported structural wall system envisioned by the architect to gracefully illuminate the interior surrounding the OSTIUM entrance. The façade features UltraClear® glass from Guardian, a strategic partner of G+MC.
