Salem Glass Company — one of the northeast’s premier glazing contractors — recently selected Glass + Metal Craft to design and fabricate the custom engineered canopy that protects the new main patient entrance of Salem Hospital’s $245 million expansion on the Mass General Bingham campus.
To minimize complexity — yet surpass the expectations of architects H|AI Architecture and Shepley Bulfinch — we integrated our proprietary HAMO metal fittings and custom glass cross beams into the design.
HAMO fittings were designed by our engineers specifically to simplify installation, and they’re made right here in North America. The glass cross beams are a highly engineered concept that eliminates the need for excessive metal and further brightens the entrance area. Both acted to simplify and maintain installation flow.
We also sourced Guardian Glass — a strategic partner of Glass + Metal Craft — so that we could ensure our fabricated product would be delivered on time from a local resource.
