It is located along Grand River Avenue leading into the city it is part of the revitalization of the city. This project is part of the new spur of economic and neighborhood focus in downtown.
The Architects designed this project to have a strong geometric modern design gesturing toward the historic Detroit G.A.R. building. Furthermore, the vision included a green rooftop patio and sliding glass walls to offer a flexible floor plan. As a result, the Lumen offers indoor/outdoor flex experiences. They support restaurant seating, a farmer’s market, musical performances, and a community meeting room.
This is where we come in. Edwards Glass came to us with this project because we offer a large selection of high-performance glass types and vast experience with insulated glass, we were the perfect fit for this project. We combined Guardian’s N78/65 over clear tempered glass giving as a result a great combination of clarity and performance.
Today, the Lumen at Beacon Park welcomes patrons year-round to the heart of Detroit offering a stunning view of the city with a refined menu.
