The Foundry is a revitalized 52,000 square foot facility designed on the Herman Miller Living Office® concept. The building pays homage to the site’s history as a former gray-iron foundry and steel fabrication facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and today serves as a regional creative incubator and site for corporate events.
With exposed girders, clerestory windows, and artful meeting areas, a primary intent of Architect _______________ was to creatively illuminate the interior.
Glazier Reliable Glass Installers retained Glass+Metal Craft to develop and fabrication a solution using insulated glass. G+MC’s Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist Division determined one of Guardians premium glass would provide optimal natural lighting, choosing SunGuard SN 54 coated glass in a tint complimenting the building.
