Glass+Metal Craft offers three tiers of OSTIUM™ Pre-Engineered Vestibules and Entrance Systems – from a TIER I minimalistic “glass box” that connects the outside environment seamlessly to the building interior; to a stunning TIER II entryway that adds stainless steel support structures and cladding enhancing the beauty of the passage; to a dramatic TIER III steel cage encased in glass that adds a powerful statement to boldly designed venues.
All three tiers are scalable and modular to adapt to a wide area of conditions, and all are fully engineered for lasting performance. Each system comes with detailed, stamped engineering drawings.
OSTIUM systems feature Guardian SunGuard® glass, and stainless steel and other metal components custom designed and fabricated by Cuda Metals™, a division of G+MC. All are protected with premier Diamon-Fusion International coatings.
As an option, G+MC OSTIUM Pre-Engineered Glass Vestibules can be delivered Buy America compliant.

There are few cities in the United States that have gone through more trauma in recent years than Flint, Michigan. Decades back Flint thrived as an automotive manufacturing hub. Then times changed. More recently it made worldwide headlines with its water quality crisis. So it’s GREAT to see the ongoing awesome, beautiful, stunning (pick any […]
The Warner Building – the latest addition to downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan from Catalyst Development – is an exciting mixed-use venue housing some of the area’s most notable businesses and nonprofits, as well as 45 high-quality living options. More than 66,000 square feet of the facility are Class A office spaces for tenants focused on transforming […]
There’s proof to the popular saying that “you only get one chance to make a first impression.” Research shows that a person makes several judgments about who you are in the first seven seconds! So when your business is installing glass on major commercial projects – and you happen to be building a new headquarters […]
Hall of Fame football coach Barry Switzer once said “some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple.” For most of us, getting to third base requires working hard at the plate to get on first. Then making your way to second – maybe with the help of […]
We’ve talked about our new pre-engineered architectural systems for several weeks now. However, as with any game changer, I still get a lot of “what’s THAT again?” A picture says a thousand words, so I snapped a few when traveling this week to downtown Chicago. While there, we visited the site of the installation of […]
Last year we announced the launch of our first pre-engineered architectural system – a glass windscreen that allows the architect to specify a proven concept, or provide a solid start with a base product they can customize to their vision. Either way it saves time and cost that allows some part of a finite budget […]
When building a major new commercial property, architectural systems are the final details that make that lasting impression. The dramatic, undulating canopy. The cantilevered point-supported structural wall. The flowing glass stairwell surrounded by glass and stainless guardrails. All in all, the wow factors. But, did you know there is a BEST way to bring them to […]
Sometimes you just know when it’s right. And that’s how we feel – underscored, all caps – about Pete Varevice joining Glass+Metal Craft at the beginning of this quarter. Pete is serving us in a new position for G+MC, as our Architectural Sales Director. It’s a new strategic position that will help us to continue to strengthen […]
If you’ve ever visited a high-end sports car dealership – for Ferrari or Porsche and the like – it leads me to surmise two probable facts. One, that you are doing very well. And, two, that details really matter to you! Just like the cars on exhibit, these highest-end dealerships are fabulous, with attention to […]
Whether it’s a neighbor saying something nice about your lawn. Or approving nods at the end of a meeting. Let’s be real, it feels good to be recognized. Especially when most of us have been holed up the past year suffering from pandemic isolation. So, it’s great to be part of this year’s Commercial Projects […]
I’m all about what’s next: more glass and less metal. Increasingly sophisticated point supported structural walls. Off-the-shelf architectural system solutions. But let’s not forget that you can also make a statement on what’s underfoot. Literally. Glass + Metal Craft is well known for its floating glass canopies and perfectly flat glass facades. But you should […]
