Glass + Metal Craft recently fabricated more than 150,000 square feet of glass for two adjacent office towers on famed Ottawa Street in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Grand Rapids has become a top destination city in the Midwest, spurred by beautiful nearby Lake Michigan beaches as well as its growing reputation as Beer City USA. So we were happy to add to the city’s luster.
Starting over 50 years ago as a storefront glass and mirror fabricator in Detroit, it’s been a journey with purpose for G+MC. We knew we wanted to grow and we knew how to get there. Growth takes strategic investment, and is sustained by unparalleled customer service.
Today, we may not be the biggest glass fabricator, but we stand toe-to-toe with the best when it comes to state-of-the-art automated equipment for glass cutting, tempering, and in-line quality inspection for flatness, optical defects, dimensional tolerance, iridescence, and more.
We also continuously invest in the development of our Team Members, launching custom video-based training and a cross-training skill-set initiative that keeps our staff at the forefront of technology while providing personal and professional job satisfaction and opportunity for growth.
But let me beat the drum again on what I REALLY believe sets G+MC up for continued growth. we do it ALL under one roof: glass fabrication, custom metal manufacturing (also producing off-the-shelf hardware alternatives), and our Fulcrum Division that designs and engineers everything from a five-hundred post guardrail to a custom glass atrium and more.
