The Warner Building – the latest addition to downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan from Catalyst Development – is an exciting mixed-use venue housing some of the area’s most notable businesses and nonprofits, as well as 45 high-quality living options.
More than 66,000 square feet of the facility are Class A office spaces for tenants focused on transforming the community. Tenants include Southwest Michigan First, Kalamazoo Promise Institute, and the Stryker Johnson Foundation.
With over 300 parking ramp spaces, the site also adds 120 new spaces to an area that has been growing and needed the added parking capacity. Further, the design includes bike storage and even a self-repair station!
Key to the vision for Architect TowerPinkster was for guests to enjoy endless views of Kalamazoo and beyond from various indoor and outdoor gathering spaces.
Glass+Metal Craft helped fulfill this intent with our VENTUS™ Pre-Engineered Glass and Metal Windscreens installed on the 5th and 7th floors. The proprietary G+MC architectural system consists of modules of 13/16th laminated glass supported by custom stainless steel posts and connecting hardware. This installation also incorporates a glass drink rail.
VENTUS™ is readily scalable to need – the modules at Warner feature 2,000 square feet of 6-ft tall glass; eliminates the time and cost of a custom design; and is a proven installation, speeding flow for glazier Architectural Glass and Metals, Inc.
Bottom line: VENTUS is a stunning, readily available windscreen system that also acts to lower the Total Cost of Ownership.
